Hello. I’m Katherine May, author of Wintering and The Electricity of Every Living Thing, and host of The Wintering Sessions. This is my newsletter. It publishes every two weeks and, if I’m honest, it covers a lot of ground.
If I had to put it in grand terms, I’d say that I’m interested in how we should live in this strange new age. But I never like to put things in grand terms. Instead, I’m in love with the small stories, the revelatory minutiae, the luminous mundane. That’s what this newsletter will share: the world, told in moments. Stitched together, they might just offer a slantwise look at the bigger picture.
This is also the best place (except for my Patreon feed, which gets everything early) to find my latest news, events, podcasts, book launches and other projects.
When you subscribe, each new edition of Stray Attention goes directly to your inbox, free of charge. You also get bonus emails, letting you know about new episodes of my podcast, and sharing the culture and media that’s been capturing my own stray attention recently. I promise not to spam you with loads of mail, and I will never, ever pass on your information to anyone else.
