Hello,
Last week, I jetted over to New York (isn’t it interesting how ‘jetted’ implies speed and importance and glamour, rather than mere flying?) to appear on Good Morning America’s Faith Fridays segment. It was such an honour to be invited.Â
The whole thing was over in seconds, but I thought you might like to see some behind-the-scenes photos.
I am now back home, glad to have caught up on sleep and retreated to my cave for a few days. Tonight, I’ll be talking to Camille T. Dungy about her brilliant book, Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden. Hope to see you there!

Katherine, Bravo! What a beautiful job you did inviting the hosts and viewers continually back to a space of stillness and calm in your interview. So very well done. What a tremendous amount of presence you embodied to do so. I watched it a few times just now out of utter fascination for how you enjoyed the moment, stayed open to it, and kept aligned with yourself, your body and all that you are. So impressive for so many reasons. You 'jetting around the world' superstar, you!
I have so many questions about what it was like being in that environment... I'd have been shaking to my bones! You were wonderful. The energy of morning television is so buzzy and chaotic, and it felt almost like your presence and care brought it all to a brief moment of rest. Congratulations and well done :)
