I love A Pattern Language, and have loved it for more than 25 years. Whatever the new project is, I so look forward to it. Thinking of you and your mom this week. 🙏🏻
Sending your Mum lots of healing wishes💝💝I thought the title was..Am I turning into a pepper?!🤣🤣And was going to read about your gardening adventures💚💚Kitty litter for human use is beyond my comprehension😭😭😫😫It is scary to imagine a world that is on fire like ours is now💔💔
I hope the water stays back on! Here in Tokyo, most people, we keep supplies ready for the Big One, the huge earthquake that we know must come some day. And, of course, the same supplies, regulalry replaced or replenished, will come in handy for any other, as yet unnamed, emergencies.
I never thought of the kitty litter solution and since our cat passed, I've given away all of our leftover supplies. Oh, well.
You sound well and back to your "bubbly" self (which I love to read). I do look forward to your next book and, meanwhile, with all of your offerings I am happy indeed.
Good, thanks. I love the stack of books. Our son grew up to be a voracious reader, his sweetheart reads more than he does, and all of their friends are big readers. In fact, you first came to my attention almost two years ago when we had brunch with them, and one of their friends was reading Wintering, which clicked for me. His sweetheart completed a Master's degree in Human Environmental Engineering last year, and I gave her A Pattern Language as a gift. I just sent her this photo of books, and we're both excited to see what eventuates. I have been stocking gallon containers all around our house, almost unconsciously. It's always there, the dread.

Thinking of you and your mum - hope the surgery goes smoothly.
