Hello,
I constantly take photos on my phone. It’s a way of keeping a record of my day. I’ve never managed to keep a diary, but whenever I want to remember what I was doing on any particular date, I check my photos. The tell the story of my life so concisely.
My current days feel so compressed, but when I look at my photos, I see the spaces. Each one is a little moment of pleasure, a small spark of joy. These moments are so fleeting, and I think I’d forget them if I didn’t have the evidence on my phone.
It’s a shame you can’t post photos in the comments, but I’d love to hear about the small moments you’ve savoured this week.
The midsummer sun wakes me up about 4.30am, and so I get a luxurious chunk of reading time each morning, sitting outside in the cool air with a mug of strong tea. This is Bert’s moss garden, which he planted in May. I love it.
