I’m really taking a break until New Year, but I spent a bit of time yesterday burrowed into my notebook, reflecting on the year past and the year to come. I found it incredibly useful, so thought I’d share my guiding questions with you all.
As I think you already know, I’m not much of an enthusiast for New Year’s resolutions. I don’t think they’re bad per se, but I do think they often come from a bad place (I wrote about this last year), and they’re often punitive, unrealistic and unsustainable. They don’t accept us as we are, but instead tend to imagine that an entirely new, shiny human can be born on the first day of January, miraculously free of all the previous baggage. I’m entirely bored of that nonsense.
