Hello,
I am an erratic gift-giver. I harbour romantic notions that a truly excellent present should be intuited by the giver, rather than requested by the recipient. I want to be inspired, to go out and find exactly the right thing for each person I love, without the need to consult a list. Lists are boring.
Do I write a list myself? You betcha. I leave absolutely nothing to chance.
Do I see a contradiction between these two stances? Er, let’s move on.
