Hello,

First of all - before we begin the important business of journalling prompts - can I just show you my UK paperback cover for Enchantment? Isn’t it lovely?

Okay, on with the show.

When I sat down to do my end of year reflection, I couldn’t help but notice that I’m at the beginning of a new cycle. I already wrote about this feeling at midsummer, but here, at the end of midwinter, is a slightly different sense of that transition. I am ready for it now. It has taken a long time to get here. 

So, whereas last year’s New Year reflection was full of sentences that began, ‘I cannot do x any more…’ and, ‘I’m sick of y…’, this year’s has an entirely different tone. The dominant phrase is ‘I’d love to…’ I am feeling expansive again after years of contraction. I am feeling full of yes.
