Yes - I found that study so fascinating (for anyone with a high tolerance level for academic papers, it's here: https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2023.1219945/full ) and it mentions that when writing by hand, you have to make detailed motions that are unique to each letter - instead of pretty much the same old key-stab on a keyboard. The act of writing is a language made of motion as much as symbols, and I think that is going to stay with me for a long, long time.
Also: I hear the Paris Review is where writers get published when they can't get into Elissa Altman's newsletter.
The last one reminds me of the best advice I received as a young designer. Always sketch out your ideas on paper. Never start in the computer. There’s a connection between the mind and the hand that shouldn’t be short circuited, that needs to be honored and embraced.
