It's 2 am in Texas with a torrential thunderstorm. My dog can't sleep so neither can I, though my 90 year old mother is blissfully snoring. Your post came like a gift, making me long for "plum rain" and hopefully sending some blossoms into future dreams. Thank you, Katherine!

I don’t mind receiving an extra email/post. It was a nice surprise this morning. I enjoyed reading your post, as always, and it’s sending me in a few new directions this weekend. Thank you!

Agreed on the emails and I am a culprit of sending perhaps too many. I have a little folder in my emails called "read later" and I put everything in there and then read stuff at my own pace. Feels more manageable somehow!

I know for sure that I would avoid reading that folder 😅

Thank you for the kind mention, Katherine!

I'd like to give a shout-out for the latest chapter in Eleanor Anstruther's In Judgement of Others: https://eleanoranstruther.substack.com/p/18-poppy

And for this, by Rona Maynard: https://ronamaynard.substack.com/p/love-sex-and-the-cleaning-woman which is a fabulous essay.

I’m grateful for your recommendations - maybe they don’t need a number! I like them in a separate post rather than at the end of a long essay, as it makes it easy to go back and reference them. Thank you for the brilliance you bring to our world.

Also, I love all things Lyz Lenz ("Men Yell at Me") but I saved this post of hers from back in October because of its impact. https://lyz.substack.com/p/apples-and-womens-work

I have not yet discovered the point at which I get tired of reading things you write. Bring on the emails.
