A beautiful tribute and I'm so sorry for your loss. I think our relationships with animals are some of the most pure and open-hearted relationships in our lives. If you know, you know. Sending love ❤

So sorry, it’s just horrible as we all know. I love that she’s immortalised in your words. I wish I could conjure up something equally as eloquent for my boy Bruno, but I do have two lovely pictures drawn and painted by friends, which are now a sort of shrine to him. Apologies for introducing a mere dog into the catosphere 😬

So sorry to hear you have lost such a good friend - you need to read "Six Dinner Sid" by Inga Moore ( a picture book) I think you would find they have the same spirit xx

I loved reading that old post Katherine. Sending so much love to you (and Bert) - cats are such wandering, spiritual creatures and it's such a gift to feel their love, even if they are somewhat promiscuous with it at times!! I remember being mortified to discover my darling Coco was considered 'our cat' at several other houses in London Fields... but as you say, the microchip only had one number on it and when he dies a few months ago just shy of 16, I only had gratitude for the huge amount of love he had offered the world - not just to me! Sleep well Heidi xxxx

Hello Katherine. I have recently been spending time ‘in your head’, through the discovery and reading of your books. And now, well, just had to finally reach out to you. The cat did it. You have my heart over the loss of your cool cat Heidi, and I’m sending my best vibes to you and your family during this crushing time. Thanks for sharing her story with us. Catherine from Canada, fellow cat lover and previous mum of a tortie.

I'm so sorry to hear that she's gone. What an amazing kitty! I had a tortoiseshell who liked sitting on the road behind our house, and had to have her tail amputated after someone ran it over. :( I wonder if there's something in the patterning that makes them more daring.

A lovely tribute to a much loved ( and much travelled!) cat. You will know well the cliché about no-one owns a cat, they own you 😉. 'Our' cat has several residences, and is 'officially' our neighbours, but try telling her that.

Wonderful memorial to her, she sounded such a character. I am looking after a cat called Oliver who is giving me the run around in the nicest possible way, didn't appear for breakfast as asleep on next door's son's bed! I mentioned Six Dinners Sid to the owner strangely enough! May all the many happy memories of Heidi bring you comfort <3

Beautifully written. It sounds as if Heidi enriched your lives and lived all of hers.

Once again, I‘m so sorry. She was clearly one of a kind and quite a beauty. Drakula is quite thrilled to know he overlapped with a nurser. May we all live our lives as our absolute selves just like Heidi.
