Hello - the original version of this post was missing a link to the form to request a subscription for those who would like to join the community but can’t afford to. It's here, and now in the body of the post. https://katherine-may.co.uk/free-places-substack

So excited to see this. I upgraded to an annual subscription yesterday. Just wondering when I'll get an email with the free digital book link. Can't wait to have it!

Me too. And wondered the same 📝

Hello! I see I have the same question as below. I signed up for an annual subscription on Sunday and haven't received a link to the digital book yet. Really looking forward to it!

I'm very much looking forward to this! I haven't gotten an email or link yet though, I checked to ensure I had an annual membership - it says my plan is "Lifetime membership" - I'm not sure what that means! I am also a subscriber to The Retreat, so I'm not sure if there's something that I need to do to ensure I still am subscribed here the right way to receive all the bonuses?

Thank you!!

I am an annual subscriber and didn't receive this. Has it been sent yet?

It's late in the US east coast. It's cold outside but hot in my apartment. I turned on the humidifier for the plants and the air conditioner for me. I'm sitting in the middle of my bed under the summer linen, poetry (wakas) all around and me with laptop on lap reading "Commonplace Book." It is delicious, soothing, easy slices like the pear I was starving for after dinner. It took great effort for you to make it so. Thank you. A little each night until I've read the last word and then begin again.

That sounds great. I'm looking forward to reading it very much. The last twelve months have been astonishing for me, personally. To live more authentically, I found I had to lay down my journalling practice. After a decade of disciplined daily writing, I find neither words nor pen will stop. I have moved from unintentionally creating a serious body of work stemming from limited interaction with the external world, to intentionally engaging with life outside my front door and whatever shows up, day to day (unintentionally creating a 12 month stack of what I refer to as 'snippets'). On 21 March, I began a mammoth 'spring clean' of my home. As the the result of my decision to live each day 'as led', rather than schedule my life to the nth degree, my house is now in semi-organised chaos. My intention for the next turn of the earth is to box up all those scraps I've created. One day I may rearrange them - a little bit like time caspsule meeets patchwork. For now I will try to reinstate the regular journalling pratice using a different format: one which doesn't compromise my ability to live adventurously and make less considered 'jottings'. Perhaps I will experiment with more 'visual' content as well as the habitual cascade of words. Thanks for helping to inspire this latest phase of growth.
