This book has been life changing for me, and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve also been a mother for 30 years! So excited for the bookclub. Can you remind me where the link is please? I’m a subscriber and have lost the email with it in…😊
I would also like to add, that, newly diagnosed as neurodiverse myself, Im beginning to see it might be a ‘superpower’ having listened to these clever thoughtful women talk 😊
Thank you, I found it and found the bookclub so interesting. Truly astonishing that I didn’t know the word, and have asked all my friends - all my age and ‘readers’ - and they hadn’t either
It really was so interesting. I need to get on and finish the book now! I mean, why break the habit of a lifetime and turn up to a book club (or university lecture/seminar 😬) having finished the book in question?! lol
Thank you so much Katherine and Lucy! I enjoyed your conversation so much. So much to think about. This was the book I was looking for in my mid to late 20s, when motherhood was on the horizon. I will be recommending this book to everyone!
And thank you to everyone in the chat. Some really interesting stories and perspectives.

I’m only partway through the book, but this is the book I wanted and needed when I was becoming a mother 20 years ago.
You can find the link on this post, Lo: https://katherinemay.substack.com/p/this-month-at-the-clearing?utm_source=post-banner&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=posts-open-in-app&triedRedirect=true

Same! Diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago, realising now that I am also autistic. (Plus some other brain stuff going on...)
