Read 1st thing this morning before coffee. Tears. I have handled so many birds in my life—mostly to rescue them from being trapped inside a house, a classroom, and even a cat’s mouth (it flew safely away). Sadly, some have hit windows in our house and have had to be taken to an avian rescue center for evaluation. Thank you for this. It’s touched me greatly.
Oh god. You destroyed me a little bit with this one. Tender hearts. I hope your little bird's return to the earth was gentle on you both.
We all need to hold and be held at times...thank you for holding this sweet bird. And letting her hold a bit of your heart, and ours.
