I love the idea of a collection of poems from various ages and cultures about the sustenance of one iconic tree. I am so sorry this happened. For practicality, as it was hitting all the trucks as they drove by, a 100 year old mulberry tree was taken down at the front of our property. Was I the only one who mourned? I don't think so as it was the home to so many birds and animals. The cruelty humans inflict on the natural word knows no bounds.

I was sorry to miss this live but finally got to catch the recording. What a lovely conversation. I was only aware of that sycamore from afar but I'm so glad it is growing back, and I love the discussion around the importance of trees and how we relate to them.

Katherine, have you heard of mirror touch synesthesia? It's when you see something happen to someone else and you feel it as if it's happening to you. I have it and wrote about it some time back. Your comments made me wonder if you're experiencing it, too. https://www.bethwinegarner.com/bite-sized-blog/2021/4/12/do-you-feel-what-i-feel
